Overview
Senior Physiotherapist - Respiratory – Naas General Hospital, Naas, Co Kildare. There is currently one permanent, full-time vacancy for a Senior Physiotherapist, Respiratory in the Physiotherapy Department. A panel may be formed from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Responsibilities
* Lead, coordinate and deliver high quality physiotherapy services for patients requiring respiratory care in the acute wards (including ICU) in accordance with the Organisation’s mission, values and strategic plan.
* Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the service with appropriate self-management and signposting.
Eligibility Criteria
* Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
* Candidates must: be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. * Have three years full-time (or an aggregate of three years full-time) post-qualification clinical experience.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register before a contract of employment can be issued.
* Annual Registration: on appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
* Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by means of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
* Health and Character: candidates must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties and be of good character, in health compatible with regular and efficient service.
* Note: Section 91 candidates are those who qualified before 30 September 2016 and have been engaged in practice in the Republic of Ireland for a minimum of 2 years full-time (or an aggregate of 2 years full-time) between 30 September 2011 and 30 September 2016 and are considered Section 91 applicants under the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005.
