Job Title - Quantity Surveyor - Civils - Change Management Location: North Dublin Project: Major Civil Engineering Project (c.€150m) Our client, a leading Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a significant new civil engineering project in North Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercial success of a high-profile scheme. The Role: In this key position, you will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of your section, with a particular emphasis on robust change management. Your core duties will include: Taking the lead on the identification, tracking, and management of change and variations. Preparing, submitting, and negotiating complex variation claims and cost forecasts. Ensuring all commercial changes are accurately reflected in contracts, budgets, and forecasts. Providing detailed financial reporting and cost value reconciliations (CVRs). Managing subcontractor accounts, from procurement to final account agreement. Collaborating with the project team to identify and mitigate commercial risk. The Candidate: We are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a dynamic project environment. Proven experience as a Senior QS with a main contractor on large-scale civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.). A demonstrable track record in change management, variation negotiation, and claim preparation. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, Public Works). A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
