Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of the construction industry to manage full sets of accounts, project-based cost control, and financial compliance. The role works closely with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost management.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation)Handle project-based accounting, including job costing and cost allocationMonitor project budgets, variations, and cost overrunsPrepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecastsProcess progress claims, subcontractor payments, and retention sumsEnsure timely billing and follow-up on outstanding receivablesPrepare GST submissions and liaise with auditors and tax agentsSupport annual audit and year-end closingEnsure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirementsMaintain proper filing of financial and project-related documentsRequirementsDiploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalentMinimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction industryStrong understanding of construction costing, progress claims, and retentionProficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB or similar)Good knowledge of GST and local regulatory requirementsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to work independentlyGood communication skills to liaise with project and management teams
