Fineco Asset Management DAC ("Fineco AM"), a Dublin-based Asset Management Company and subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. ("FinecoBank"), is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS & AIFM Management Company with a MiFID top-up. Fineco AM currently manages approximately €39bn in assets and specializes in fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, and Structured Solutions Funds. Key supporting functions such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal are performed locally. The company started with 5 employees and now has a headcount of 90 FTEs. Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds – 1 in Luxembourg and 2 in Ireland. Dublin, Ireland.


The Role

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Audit Specialist to join our team. The Audit Specialist will assist in the internal audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing valuable insights to improve our financial operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of activities and teams within a high-growth, innovative international organization.


Main Responsibilities

* Assist with internal audits, including planning stages, fieldwork, interacting with auditees, coordinating audit findings with management, and drafting preliminary reports. Manage special audit projects as needed.
* Contribute to the continuous auditing process within the Internal Audit Plan. Participate in the quarterly review of audit issues, collaborating with management to update statuses of past findings and audit resolved issues. Conduct follow-up reviews of identified deficiencies during audits.
* Draft clear, concise, and timely working papers in line with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for review by senior audit leaders. Prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations, in close collaboration with senior management.
* Promote best practices within the organization, emphasizing continuous improvement and raising awareness about internal controls, risk, and corporate governance. Develop a thorough understanding of finance, compliance, and market risk across the group.
* Track audit progress, ensuring alignment with expected timelines and scope. Manage projects to completion, escalating issues when necessary. Conduct audit reviews across different business lines.
* Utilize leading audit processes and tools, including data analytics, to enhance audit effectiveness.


Experience and Qualifications

* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an audit environment, preferably within the financial services sector. Experience in controls testing and/or internal auditing is desirable. Experience of managing audits/projects.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with drive and determination.
* High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all audit activities.
