Senior Civil BIM/CAD Engineer – REF: 2535b at Fingleton White
Fingleton White provides multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry. We provide a full range of design, construction and commissioning services and are active across sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. The company operates 8 offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and England with over 200 staff.
Role and responsibilities
* Design of projects from conceptual phase through to project completion (e.g., energy projects including renewables, pipelines and installations such as gas, oil, water or wastewater, industrial buildings & utilities).
* Use of Autodesk programs such as AutoCAD and Revit to produce high quality project drawings from Design through to As-Built stage, working in conjunction with and under the direction of engineers.
* Use of other software such as Civil 3D, Navisworks and the Autodesk Construction Cloud.
* The role comprises a combination of traditional 2D drafting work and BIM/3D modelling.
The successful applicant will receive guidance and training to familiarize them with our company’s methodology and standards for drawing production. Training in our BIM/CAD software will be available where needed.
Location: Dublin office (with consideration for Portlaoise office).
Requirements / Candidate profile
* Relevant higher education qualification and/or commensurate industry experience in Civil engineering.
* Experience in developing detailed civil drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
* 10 years post-education experience as a Civil BIM/CAD Engineer or similar role.
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
* Ability to work to agreed timelines and to a high standard.
