Fish Farm Operative Fish Farm Operative - County Wicklow, Ireland - €29,500 – €33,000 + Accommodation / Relocation Support The Job: A well established aquaculture business is seeking a motivated Fish Farm Operative to join its team at a trout production facility in County Wicklow.
This is a full time, outdoor role supporting the daily operations of a busy fish farm producing high-quality trout for Irish and European markets.
The position involves working as part of a team responsible for fish husbandry, environmental monitoring, equipment maintenance, and assisting with harvesting operations.
Key responsibilities include: - Carrying out daily husbandry and care of fish across all life stages - Monitoring environmental conditions and maintaining accurate records - Counting and recording fish mortality and stock movements - Operating and maintaining fish farming equipment and machinery - Assisting with harvesting and loading fish for transport - Maintaining nets, screens, graders, and other farm equipment - Supporting general site maintenance and seasonal grounds work - Completing harvest dockets and operational records - Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain safe and efficient operations - The role includes participation in a rotational weekend schedule, as well as occasional night or out-of-hours cover when required.

Candidate Requirements All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
