Job Summary


About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to be part of a talented multidisciplinary team within Ireland's new specialist mental health inpatient service. Our service provides care and treatment for adults aged between 18 and 65 who suffer from a mental disorder.


Key Responsibilities

* Live our Mission, Vision and Values and co-operate with your employer to comply with your responsibilities under relevant Acts and regulations.
* Ensure PP's and ICP's are up-to-date and that services are being delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
* Familiarise yourself with and adhere to local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
* Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* Use company IT systems as instructed and never share passwords or disclose data defined under GDPR.

In addition, you will:

* Report any concerns for patient safety to your line manager or other manager within Nua.
* Act responsibly at all times and co-operate with regulators in the best interests of our service and patients.
* Maintain the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidance.

You will also support the delivery of effective front-line support to all patients, promote good relationships with primary health care services, and communicate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

As a key member of our team, you will identify supports and work in partnership with individuals, their families, and other supports outlined within Personal Plans.


Requirements

* Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Have excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
* Show effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Display an understanding of individual needs.
* Show ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
* Have experience relating to people in a supportive role.
* Show willingness to learn and reliability in a flexible approach to work.
* Exhibit good organisation and IT skills.
* Be self-motivated and able to plan time effectively.
