Our IT department wishes to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to join its IT Engineers (MES, MTS, Data Analytics, Validation & Infrastructure) on a customer site in Cork. The successful candidate will have solid software engineering fundamentals and experience in developing and supporting software solutions.
The position will work within an established team that provides software support to production and business areas.
Desired Background/Experience/Attributes:
* Good understanding of all infrastructure components such as Windows & Linux server platforms, VMWare, EMC Storage solutions, etc.
* Experienced in managing platform Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Windows 10/11 & Linux.
* Good knowledge of ISA S95 standard and Cybersecurity best practices.
* Good understanding of Cybersecurity tools, e.g., antivirus, vulnerability management and patching technologies.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good documentation skills.
* Strong self-management with ability to take initiative to identify and drive improvements.
* Effective communicator and ability to build relationships cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
* Working as part of the infrastructure services team to support, manage and maintain site IT servers & workstations.
* Participate in the day-to-day work activities with the Manufacturing Infrastructure team, managing customer Incidents & Requests.
* Responsible for ongoing hardware & software life cycle management activities including building, upgrading and retirement of GxP workstations & servers.
* Act as site contact for specific global cybersecurity initiatives e.g. antivirus deployments, vulnerability management monitoring, monthly patching compliance, etc.
* Contribute to the delivery of global projects to local site, ensuring project tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
* Maintain excellent level of support/outage coordination with business users to minimize production related Infrastructure issues.
* Provide regular status reports and escalation of issues to the local Infrastructure team.
* Adherence with company Quality Standards and Practices when producing and maintaining all relevant infrastructure validation documentation.
* Management of regular Infrastructure access roster reviews and periodic reviews to ensure ongoing compliance requirements are met.
