Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and contractors.
* Promote building materials and services through regular customer visits and communications.
* Upsell additional brands and services such as hire equipment and plumbing supplies.
* Prepare customer quotations and account plans to meet sales targets.
* Ensure customer payment terms are followed and manage debt collection.
* Collaborate with internal teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records of visits and customer interactions.
* Handle product or service claims in line with company guidelines.
* Ensure safety standards are upheld at all times.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in building materials sales or B2B sales in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of building materials; plumbing product knowledge is a plus.
* Experience working with building contractors and specifiers.
* A third-level qualification in construction or business is desirable.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Commercial awareness and analytic thinking.
* Proficiency in IT and data handling.
