The Financial Services Tax team are recruiting a VAT Advisor, you will play a key role in managing and delivering VAT compliance services to a diverse portfolio of global clients in the Financial Services sector.
You will ensure accurate and timely VAT filings, provide technical VAT advice, and support clients in navigating current and future complex VAT regulations for Financial Services clients in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end VAT compliance for a large portfolio of clients in the financial services sectors, ensuring outstanding quality client service.
Support our Global Delivery centre in India working with them on a daily basis.
Support clients during Irish VAT audits and investigations, liaising directly with Irish Revenue authorities; assist in advancing VAT compliance procedures, adopting automation technologies to further drive efficiency and improve client service experience.
Advise clients on VAT implications of complex financial services transactions, restructures, and cross-border activities.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted VAT advisor.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, communicate relevant updates to clients and internal EY teams, supporting them in assessing and implementing resulting changes.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in VAT compliance, preferably within a professional services firm and the financial services sector.
Proven experience managing a large VAT compliance portfolio, handling complex VAT issues and working with multi-jurisdictional teams (such as our Global Delivery Centre in India).
Outstanding client service and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
Skills
Excellent time-management and organisational skills, ability to manage competing client deadlines and priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and avoiding errors and risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly across multijurisdictional teams.
Proficiency in VAT software and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or firm-specific platforms) is an advantage.
