Head of IT
to provide strategic leadership and drive technology innovation across the business.
This is a
high-impact position
where you will act as the
IT Lead
for a large-scale transformation programme involving
ERP implementation, EPOS upgrades, and O365 tenant consolidation
. You will oversee technology strategy, operations, vendors, and project delivery while ensuring that IT initiatives are fully aligned with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as
IT Lead
on a
major digital transformation programme
, covering ERP, EPOS, and O365 workstreams.
* Define, implement, and manage
ITIL-based IT service management processes
to ensure operational excellence.
* Build and manage
vendor partnerships
, ensuring the best possible service delivery and value.
* Drive
process improvements
, evaluate technologies, and oversee third-party performance.
* Provide training and technical support to enhance
system adoption and customer experience
across the organisation.
* Manage
incident response
and oversee root-cause analysis for IT-related issues.
* Collaborate closely with architects, business leaders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.
* Define and monitor
KPIs
for infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to track efficiency and performance.
* Take ownership of the
IT budget
, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and aligned with business needs.
* Oversee the successful delivery of
IT projects
from initiation through to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.
Key Skills & Competencies
* Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of IT domains including
ERP, EPOS, infrastructure, security, architecture, and application performance
.
* Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to
lead, inspire, and manage cross-functional teams
.
* Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Communication:
Skilled at engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Experienced in managing
third-party suppliers, service providers, and key business relationships
.
* ITIL Knowledge:
Familiar with ITIL practices, especially
Service Design, Service Transition, and Continual Service Improvement
.
* Project Management:
Proven track record of delivering
large-scale IT transformation programmes
within a complex environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum
7+ years' experience
in a
senior IT leadership
or
Head of IT
role.
* Hands-on experience delivering
ERP and EPOS solutions
in a
complex, multi-site organisation
.
* Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture.
* Experience working within an
ITIL-aligned IT service management framework
.
* Successful track record delivering IT solutions in cross-functional environments.
Desirable:
* ITIL Foundation Certification (or higher).
* Familiarity with
PRINCE2, Agile, or other project management methodologies
.
* Experience within
pharmaceutical, healthcare, or logistics sectors
is an advantage.
