HR Manager Role

Main Responsibilities:
* Promote a culture centred on collaboration, growth, and excellence through effective employee engagement initiatives.
* IDentify training and development needs in partnership with department heads.
* Sustain and enhance the organisation's performance management systems.
* Provide expert HR guidance and support to all staff and management levels.
* Maintain and manage the HR system and employee database effectively.
* Administer recruitment processes, including interview panel participation.
* Draft comprehensive employment contracts for staff and players.
* Coordinate work permit applications and renewals efficiently.
* Collaborate with governing bodies on HR matters such as onboarding and offboarding procedures.
* Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from hiring to departure.
* Advise on statutory leave entitlements (e.g., maternity, paternity, parental, sick leave).
* Administer and manage employee benefit programmes.
* Monitor employment legislation and implement policy updates accordingly.
* Closely communicate HR initiatives and policy changes to stakeholders.
* Liaise with external HR and payroll partners on employee matters.
* Process monthly payroll amendments with the Finance team.
* Act as the key contact for industrial and employee relations issues.
* Support player development managers on HR-related concerns.
* Lead or contribute to HR project work and new initiatives.
* Undertake additional duties as required by senior leadership.
Requirements:
* Degree or postgraduate diploma in a relevant business discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Head of HR/People & Development role.
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR practices.
* Experienced in coaching and mentoring.
* Proficiency with HR systems and tools.
* Membership of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
