As a Commis Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the chefs in the smooth functioning of kitchen operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes while maintaining high culinary standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the efficient execution of recipes and overall food quality.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking various dishes, ensuring adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. This includes chopping, marinating, grilling, baking, and other techniques.
2. Kitchen Operations: Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen functioning. Organize workstations, maintain stock levels, and ensure equipment is operational.
3. Quality Control: Monitor ingredient and dish quality. Conduct taste tests to meet standards.
4. Sanitation and Safety: Follow hygiene and safety standards to maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment, complying with all food handling regulations.
5. Team Coordination: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure teamwork. Communicate effectively with chefs and team members.
6. Training and Development: Participate in training to enhance culinary skills and stay updated on trends. Seek leadership development opportunities.
7. Menu Planning: Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu items to enhance guest experience.
8. Time Management: Maintain efficient cooking times for timely service without compromising quality.
9. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory and ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations.
10. Adherence to Standards: Uphold standards in food preparation, plating, and presentation, following recipes and guidelines set by the executive chef.
