The Hole in the Wall Bar is a lively, welcoming pub in the heart of Galway, known for great service, excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and a loyal local customer base. We're looking for a friendly, motivated, and reliable Full-Time Server to join our team.
Job Overview
As a Server, you'll ensure customers enjoy a memorable experience by providing excellent service, maintaining a clean and organised environment, and working efficiently with the bar and kitchen staff. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fast-paced work and engaging with people.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and seat customers with a warm, friendly attitude
Take orders accurately and deliver food and drinks promptly
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions
Operate POS systems, and manage tabs
Keep tables, service areas, clean and presentable
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues when needed
Requirements
Previous experience as a server, waiter/waitress, or in hospitality (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work full-time, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland
Good understanding of bar and food service etiquette
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
