Property Transactions Specialist
An opportunity has arisen for a Property Transactions Specialist to join our Energy Businesses Property, Planning and Consenting Team.

You will be a key part of the legal team and work closely with business representatives to achieve their goals and objectives by providing high quality, pragmatic support and advice in relation to property transactions for our energy businesses including Energy Customer Solutions, Offshore and Onshore Renewables and Thermal.
In this role, you will be a key member of the legal team and be responsible for focussed legal advice and support to our energy businesses.
You will be required to work closely with legal colleagues, internal specialist corporate functions and business representatives to achieve their goals and objectives by providing high quality, pragmatic legal support and advice in relation to a variety of property and planning matters for both existing operational assets and new projects for the business.
* Provide high quality, pragmatic legal advice to a variety of stakeholders in respect of property and planning matters over a variety of energy projects.
* Draft and negotiate a range of property documents including agreements for lease, leases, transfers, options, servitudes easements and others; undertake title due diligence and preparation of title reports; and support the team on other project/transactional property work as may be required.
* Get to know your clients and establish and maintain good business relationships with key contacts as well as the wider legal team.
* Manage your time efficiently and demonstrate a professional approach to your clients and team members.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal support to the energy business, covering sectors such as thermal, offshore wind, onshore wind, solar & battery, heat networks and electric vehicles.
2. Draft and negotiate property documents.
3. Undertake title due diligence and prepare title reports.
4. Support the team on project/transactional property work.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Executive with at least 3 years' post qualifying experience in a property role with confidence in dealing with property land rights and leases.
* Rural/crofting law experience would be advantageous.
* Dual qualification or exposure to different jurisdictions would be desirable in two or more of the following jurisdictions - England & Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland or Scotland.

* Skills in producing clear, precise written work and legal documents, with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships based on trust.

* A good understanding of O365 apps.
