We are looking for We are currently looking for Distillery Operations Technicians to join our team in West Cork Distillers.
You will become a part of our team producing our renowned West Cork Whiskey and Gin products which are distilled and bottled here in Skibbereen and exported to over 70 countries globally.
Full training will be provided, but previous experience in food production, maintenance or a mechanical / technical role would be advantageous.
This role involves shift work and weekend work (approx one weekend in every three).
You will be on a rotating roster, alternating between night and day shifts on an 8 hour shift basis.
What You'll Do Preparation and separation of Mash and distillation of 1st Spirit Operation of equipment and machinery Monitoring distillery output using specific distillery technology Evaluate distillate quality Ensure relevant and mandatory tracking records are maintained and updated Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained ensuring that the plant is in an 'audit ready' state at all times Work closely with the maintenance team assisting in the preparation of equipment for repair & assist with troubleshooting Conduct an appropriate handover of operations at every shift change to ensure that continuous production is achieved Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times Report to the site manager regarding stock of raw material's (e.g Yeast, Grain etc) to ensure continuity of production We offer Very competitive salary Bonus for weekend work Pension Generous Employee Referral Scheme Employee Assistance Programme Educational Support Programme On-site Parking On-site Kitchen Facilities Bike to Work
