Fuel Card & Direct Customers AccountantJOB TITLE – Fuel Card & Direct Customers AccountantREPORTING TO – Head of Finance NorwayCONTRACT TYPE – PermanentLOCATION – Drogheda, Co Louth / HybridPRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLEReporting to the Head of Finance – Norway, the Fuel Card & Direct Customers Accountant is primarily responsible for managing customer billing, as well as monitoring, reconciling, clearing transactions, and analysing our fuel card and bulk business operations for Norway. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your financial expertise to ensure the seamless execution of our fuel card and bulk business operations. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights to our Commercial and Operations teams in Norway, enabling strategic decision-making and performance optimisation within the Norwegian market. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Key Areas of Accountability Areas of AccountabilityKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Monitoring/ReportingManage SAP customer billing processes to ensure customer invoicing is both accurate and timelyEnsure accurate and prompt processing of daily payments and receiptsCollaborate with the Commercial and Operations functions in Norway to support the businessConduct ongoing reconciliations and review of fuel card and bulk volumes and marginsManage ERP Development Projects in collaboration with the SAP support team for the Norway bulk businessWork closely with the Credit Team to ensure adequate credit control around the businessPrepare relevant sections of Management Reporting pack, including analysis and commentary on KPI's, for internal management decision making purposesAssist with financial reporting and management accounts preparationAssist in areas of risk management and compliance, and liaise closely with external auditorsGeneralSupport the Head of Finance on ad hoc projects as and when requiredInteract with external/internal parties including customers, auditors and DCC Group Compliance teamsCross train with other members of the Finance Team to ensure adequate holiday / leave cover can be maintained and ensure that all major team tasks are managed at all timesQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEQualificationsPreference for a part-qualified Accountant with relevant industry experienceMinimum of 4 to 5 years' experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExperienceDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environmentEffective communication, interpersonal, time management and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilitiesBilling experience an advantageExperience of SAP or similar large ERP system an advantageESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES Exemplary attention to detail, with a pro-active approach to diving into the specifics and taking a hands-on approachSelf-motivated and capable of working on own initiativeMaintain a positive, can-do attitude, displaying a high level of commitment & motivationShow eagerness for personal and professional growth, willingly take on additional responsibilitiesHighly organised with the ability to adapt to quickly changing prioritiesCommunicates articulately and professionallyMaintains high levels of personal and professional standardsPossesses a strong understanding of financial principlesAbility to build strong business relationships across diverse cultures and business areasCapable of swiftly adjusting to evolving market dynamicsOTHER REQUIREMENTSWilling to travel on business trips if requiredThis job description is intended as a summary of the primary responsibilities and qualifications for this position.
