Job Summary
The Truck Collection Team Member will assist as a helper to a Truck Driver on collection routes for waste and recycling in the Galway City area. The role also involves general yard duties in Oranmore on some afternoons.
Location
Walsh Waste & Recycling, Deerpark Industrial Estate.
Reports To
The Solid Waste Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
Work in a physically demanding job.
Collect and return customers' bins along designated routes.
Work outdoors on a Five-Day Over Six schedule (Monday to Saturday).
Operate vehicle with a full category B driving licence.
Perform general yard duties including housekeeping, maintenance and repair of bins.
Comply with Health and Safety policies.
Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
Full category B driving licence.
Physical fitness to perform demanding work.
Strong communication skills in fluent English (spoken and written).
Ability to work quickly and in a team environment.
Fluent in English with a customer‑focused attitude.
Be able to commute from or relocate to Oranmore, County Galway.
Contract & Salary
Full‑time contract. Salary: €14.15 per hour.
