">The role of the Maintenance Operations Lead is to lead and manage all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and tooling in alignment with production demands.
\
1. Prioritise the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and tooling in conjunction with production requirements;
\
2. Oversee management of spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate spare parts for critical equipment;
\
3. Nominating, supervising and coordinating sub-contractors for work relating to maintenance;
\
4. Communicating and liaising with sub-contractors, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with their contracts;
\
5. Sign-off and verification of completion of sub-contractors work;
\
6. Supervision of all employees within the department, monitoring performance and quality of workmanship as well as dealing with any HR issues that may arise;
\
7. Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI's);
\
8. Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively;
\
9. Develop clear accountability for maintenance material costs combined with a strategy to manage expenditure;
\
10. Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of the products and materials needed and advise others of any impact;
\
11. Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility;
\
12. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department;
\
13. Ensure that the tooling and equipment operate in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors;
\
14. Effectively manage the technical support personnel to achieve the required levels of plant and equipment uptime;
\
15. Manage the maintenance team to ensure that the preventative and predictive maintenance activities are completed in full and on time and this system is managed effectively;
\
16. Manage the Technical files (soft and hard copies) for all plant and equipment covering all electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, controls and software elements;
\
17. Ensure a backup copy of all plant and equipment software is kept i.e. PLC programs, Robotic programs;
\
18. Develop the maintenance personnel to be able to carry out software diagnosis of equipment i.e. reading PLC ladder logic;
\
19. Ensure all software is available to read all machine programs and update when new equipment comes online;
\
20. Manage all data relating to plant and equipment uptime and generate daily graphs showing performance to target;
\
21. Develop a culture of multi-skilling and cross-training throughout all roles within each maintenance shift;
\
