As a Principal Engineer on the Industrialization team in Striker Ireland, you will work with technical process owners to develop innovative products.
You will interface with cross-functional team members locally and globally.
A key responsibility is driving technical governance, promoting lean engineering practices, and ensuring robust industrialisation processes from concept through production.
The role requires expertise in manufacturing technologies and business systems, along with cross-functional collaboration and a passion for continuous improvement.
You will work closely with manufacturing process owners across various departments, including Design for Additive Manufacturing, Additive manufacturing, CNC, Finishing, Inspection, Cleaning, Packaging, Labelling, and Sterilization.
This includes providing training and guidance on Additively Manufactured Materials such as Metals and Polymers.
You will also provide user requirements to Digital & IT teams to enable scalable solutions throughout the manufacturing process.
Collaboration is essential with senior technical leaders, engineering, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure programme success.
You must be able to work independently to plan and schedule activities, meeting programme deliverables.
Additionally, you will establish and run a Continuous Improvement programme cycle.
Business Performance: you will lead product traceability, metric definition, implementation, and reporting/governance cycles using Power BI and OSI Pi.
Programme management: you will interface for Value Stream Engineering necessary programme review levels.
Portfolio Management: anticipate the impact and integration of new products into the Production System.
You will drive the deployment and performance of an overarching process model and framework for the business, integrating system thinking into our way of working - Standard Work.
Align required product and value stream development roadmaps.
Surface bottom-up alignment of technology and digital platform development roadmaps.
Participate and lead point Kaizen initiatives as required in support of global business development.
To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (Level 8 Degree), along with at least 8 years of experience in a team-based environment. A proven track record of working collaboratively is essential.
