Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Chef to join our culinary team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in controlling and directing food preparation processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in every dish served.
Key responsibilities include collaborating on menu planning, supervising and guiding kitchen staff to achieve efficiency and productivity, maintaining compliance with HACCP and all food hygiene standards, managing kitchen supplies by planning orders and addressing shortages, and fostering teamwork and mutual respect within the kitchen environment.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a chef role within a busy food business, a degree in Culinary Science or related certificate is desirable, strong kitchen management skills, ability to delegate tasks and monitor team performance, excellent organisational and time-management skills, familiarity with relevant computer programs (MS Office, POS), exceptional food presentation and adherence to health and safety standards, and the ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
