Client:Our client a leading multinational Semiconductor Company requires Senior Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer for role in Cork City, IrelandThe role requires the candidate to be onsite 4 days per week.Role:You will be a part of the Analog and Mixed Signal Design team responsible for providing efficient analog and digital dc/dc controllers ICs for the consumer, automotive and industrial markets.Responsibilities:Design of power management blocks including: SMPS/Buck converter/ LDO/ Bandgaps/ Current References/ opamp/ oscillator/ temperature sensorsConvert specifications into Analog IC solutionsPerform the actual design and simulations of Analog IC circuits using state-of-the-art EDA tools like CadenceResponsible for the delivering the fully verified blocks in simulationsDocumentation of all Analog IC design related issues and contribute to datasheets, architectural specifications and development plansReview Analog IC designs, evaluations, characterization and test resultsCollaborate with cross functional teams including; layout, test, verification, and validationWork with layout designer to implement circuit designs with best-practice layout techniquesPrepare and present design review materialsExperience in chip integration and Top level Mixed Mode Simulation to successfully integrate analog IP at chip levelSupport bench bring-up and test plans and validate/characterize/debug designs into high volume productionQualificationsBachelor's degree in electronic engineering, physics or related discipline, M.Sc. or Ph.D. is ideal but not requiredA minimum of 5 years' experience in analog or mixed-signal analog IC DesignSolid background and knowledge in all aspects of analog designExperience in the design of power-management blocksBackground in control feedback systemsDemonstrated track record for bringing Analog/Mixed-Signal designs into high volume productionExperience with the use of Cadence design and verification tools including mixed signal simulationExperience working with cross site teams and contractorsInterfacing with verification, process, test, program management, layout and application engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through releaseInterested in system design and how this translates to analog design requirements and propose innovative and creative solutions where necessary to meet customer needsExperience with verilog behavioral modelling (System Verilog and/or VerilogAMS and/or VerilogA)Layout related skills and/or Matlab and/or SIMPLIS experience is a plusContact:For an informal discussion contact Micheal, Managing Director, on or email
