Our client, a leading manufacturing and construction company, is seeking an experienced
HSE Advisor
to support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across their operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong site presence, working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance, promote a positive safety culture, and support safe systems of work across manufacturing and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
Provide professional HSE guidance to management, site teams, and HSE committees
Conduct site inspections and audits, producing reports and tracking corrective actions
Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
Support environmental management practices, including waste management and environmental impact awareness
Lead and support incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
Assist with
ISO ***** and ISO ***** audits and compliance
Identify HSE training needs and support the delivery of safety training across teams
Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure safe operational planning
Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Previous experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry
Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation
Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage operational teams
Proactive, practical approach to risk management and safety improvement
NEBOSH General Certificate
(or equivalent)
Experience implementing HSE systems in operational environments
Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Experience with
ISO ***** / ISO ***** audits
Experience in precast concrete, manufacturing, or heavy industry
