Orange Recruitment are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Inspector to join our clients Consultancy division. This role will focus on a high-profile project, ensuring robust safety standards are in place and aligned with legal obligations and client expectations. The successful candidate will help drive compliance and promote a strong safety culture across multiple active sites. Responsibilities: Contact site representatives listed in the monthly inspection schedule to confirm site locations and work details. Organise and coordinate inspection visits based on confirmed project timelines. Use a company-provided mobile device and software platform to complete all site inspections and documentation. Understand the client's specific contractor requirements, including risk management protocols and site hazard controls. Participate in on-site safety inductions as needed and follow any site-specific procedures. Conduct inspections in line with the client's scoring system and audit framework. Immediately escalate any major safety risks encountered during site visits to the appropriate contact. Communicate findings with both contractors and client representatives before leaving the site. Ensure audit scores and comments are consistently applied across inspections. Requirements: A strong background in health and safety with the ability to advise clients, employees, and contractors on best practices. Proven experience conducting site audits, producing detailed reports, and following up on corrective actions. Familiarity with the Construction Regulations 2013 and contractor obligations under relevant legislation. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy field-based schedule independently. Detail-oriented mindset - precision and accuracy in reporting is key. Proficiency with mobile technology and inspection software (training will be provided if needed). Excellent communication skills to ensure clear, professional engagement with all stakeholders.
