THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Line Manager who will support and lead a department and team to deliver the best shopping experience for our customers. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, this role ensures we serve Ireland’s shoppers a little better every day.
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
* Be responsible for the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are absent
* Ensure team members are fully trained and validated in their roles
* Foster two-way communication and a culture of trust
* Coach and manage colleagues to meet daily priorities and deliver excellent customer service
* Review reports and systems to implement customer and colleague improvements
* Promote a culture of zero food waste by managing date codes and food safety
* Recruit passionate colleagues dedicated to customer service
* Understand and ensure compliance with cleaning specifications
* Manage stock control, warehouse layout, and routines for first-time accuracy
* Address pricing errors, refunds, and label routines to ensure correct charges
* Manage front-end operations to prevent queues
* Recognize and provide feedback on excellent service and areas for improvement
Ideal candidates will have:
• Passion for delivering excellent customer and colleague experiences
• Adaptability and agility in thinking
• Experience delivering objectives in fast-paced environments
• Ability to be the ‘Go To’ person for department queries
• Influence at senior levels
• Previous retail management experience is preferred
