We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse to work in our Residential Service in Galway.
Ability West provides a wide range of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism across Galway City and County.
Services provided are day, residential, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports.

Role: We are looking for a qualified nurse who will be flexible and adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.
Open to change and aims to provide a safe, secure environment where individuals will participate in community and leisure activities, make choices and enjoy a lifestyle that fulfils their potential and expectations with the opportunity for new experiences.
If successful you will be required to work in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy, participate in person-centred planning, individual reviews, team meetings, attend and participate in training courses, and actively contribute to team based performance management.
Essential Criteria: Possession of a nursing or recognised nursing qualification e.g. R.N.I.D., R.G.N, S.R.N., R.P.N., including current registration with An Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann.
Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability.
Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle is desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Flexibility and the capacity to embrace change in response to the identified needs of people we support.
