Manufacturing Production Planner Role
Coordinating production activities is a crucial aspect of ensuring timely delivery of products. This role requires effective planning and execution to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create Master Production Schedules based on demand forecasts and sales orders.
* Translate forecasts into detailed production and capacity plans.
Capacity Management Strategies:
* Schedule work orders and manufacturing activities efficiently.
* Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed.
Inventory Control Measures:
* Analyze production capacity, labor availability, and equipment constraints.
* Implement load leveling and bottleneck resolution where necessary.
* Monitor stock levels and minimize excess/obsolete inventory.
Performance Metrics Development:
* Track Work-In-Progress (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods.
* Develop, implement, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor planning and production efficiency.
Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, or a related area, or at least 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in a medical device environment is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, strong organizational skills, and analytical thinking are also required.
