Job Title: Hospital & GP Gastroenterology Sales Representative
Territory: Munster
Reports to: Medical Sales Manager
Role Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Sales Representative to promote our gastroenterology portfolio across hospital and GP settings in the North Leinster territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving product uptake, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering against territory sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales targets
Promote gastroenterology products to:
Gastroenterologists
Consultants and Registrars
IBD nurses and clinical nurse specialists
GPs and practice nurses
Hospital pharmacists
Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals and primary care
Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and decision‑makers
Organise and support educational meetings, study days and local events
Maintain accurate territory records and reporting via CRM system
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide regular feedback to management
Ensure full compliance with IPHA Code of Practice and company policies
Key Accountabilities
Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets
Territory growth and market share expansion
Effective call rate and coverage across hospital and GP customers
Successful execution of product launches and campaigns
Experience & Qualifications
Proven pharmaceutical sales experience (hospital and/or primary care preferred)
Experience in gastroenterology or a specialty care area is advantageous
Strong understanding of the Irish healthcare system
Third‑level qualification (science, business or related field preferred)
Full clean driving licence
