Junction 14 Mayfield is currently recruiting for the role of Assistant Manager in our busy Insomnia Department.
Purpose of the Role: To support the team and ensure colleague compliance with all standards necessary for the successful running of the department. The Assistant Manager should be fully familiar with all aspects of the Barista’s role, including Dress Code, Hygiene/HACCP Standards, Customer Service Standards, Performance Standards, Health & Safety, and Roster Awareness. This proactive role aims to deliver high-quality service consistently and work collaboratively with the manager and team.
As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include:
* Creating a welcoming environment with excellent customer service and coffee presentation, including latte art.
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
* Managing staff rosters, focusing on wage costs.
* Collaborating with marketing to promote Insomnia.
* Ensuring profit margins are maintained and targets are met.
* Training staff in procedures, product knowledge, and customer service.
* Monitoring attendance, punctuality, productivity, and presentation of staff.
* Conducting staff appraisals and participating in recruitment.
* Liaising with senior management on site issues.
* Organizing stock takes and liaising with the accounts department.
* Performing additional duties as required by management.
Requirements:
* Relevant managerial experience in a customer-focused environment or a successful Assistant Manager seeking the next step.
* Enthusiastic, outgoing, with full responsibility for store operations, staff development, brand delivery, and financial performance.
* Previous coffee experience is advantageous but not essential; attitude and alignment with Insomnia's philosophy are key.
* No recruitment agency assistance is currently required.
