Structural Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience working on complex structural projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing structural solutions for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare buildings as well as water retaining and wind farm infrastructure.
* Designing Eurocodes for steel, timber, concrete, and masonry
* Preparing calculation packages for hand-based and computer-based designs
* Overseeing design tasks delegated to design engineers and graduate engineers
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or higher, preferably with a focus on Structural Engineering in the syllabus. They will also need to be Chartered Engineers with between 6 and 8 years of relevant experience.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of mechanics and complex structural design principles
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
* Ability to use finite element packages such as Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, CADS A3D, and other standalone design packages

Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and tender assessments
* Tendering site investigation works
* Handling more complex designs such as deep foundations, transfer structures, torsional beams, and flat slabs
* Supervising the development of drawings, reviewing Navisworks and Revit models, and coordinating with other disciplines
