Electrical Design Engineer Role
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems for process instrumentation and control devices. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in electrical design, including the use of documents such as P&ID, Instrument Schedule, and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical wiring layouts and panels for process instrumentation and control devices
- Develop PLC control loops, motor controls, and variable frequency drive circuits
- Design pneumatic circuits for process control and instrumentation
- Create electrical schematics, drawings, and instrument schedules
- Construct wiring schematics and generate assembly designs for power distribution panels, control panels, and remote I/O panels
- Provide after-sales support for existing equipment
- Manage project specifications, design, purchasing, and commissioning
Requirements:
* 2-3 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering with industrial control systems, process control loops, motor controls, and instrument connections
* Competent working with technical and electrical drawings and specifications
* Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Multitask ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in the Life Sciences industry
Education:
- Degree or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD and See Electrical CAD systems
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS hardware, preferably Weidmuller, Siemens, and Allan Bradley
- Familiarity with regional regulatory standards such as CE and NRTL Panels standards, and ATEX (EU) and HazLoc (US) certification
