Job Title: Production Optimization Specialist
About the Job:
As a Production Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for working with conception, design, development, and installation of new products or production lines. Your duties will include improving the production processes to become more cost-effective and efficient over time, resolving technical problems, and selecting precision tools for different machines. Problem-solving and root cause analysis are essential skills required for this role.
* Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
* Lead process optimization using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
* Use industrial engineering techniques and company standards to establish resource requirements and material flow.
* Analyse product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
* Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing cell performance.
* Ensure company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
* Maintain compliance with ISO/TS16949 standards in the manufacturing area.
* Ensure adherence to engineering change control, internal gate timing, customer commitments, project procedures, and departmental guidelines.
* Evaluate and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
* Analyse and report on production processes, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
You must possess a degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline. Additionally, you should have working knowledge of automation and assembly processes, laser welding systems, robotics, automation systems & dispense systems, validation lifecycle, and Six Sigma problem-solving. Supervisory experience is an advantage.
