Job Description:
As a seasoned engineer, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end project solutions, defining scope, managing capital requests, developing processes, and overseeing validation.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed project plans with integrated risk assessments to ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
You will also develop, design, and evaluate equipment and/or processes requiring novel and innovative approaches or major breakthroughs in technology.
Additionally, you will investigate emerging technologies and lead feasibility studies to assess functionality and business impact.
Collaboration with R&D on new product introductions and product design changes is essential to ensure alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
Developing advanced manufacturing processes using Six Sigma and Lean guidelines to reduce product standard cost is another critical aspect of this role.
Conducting cost-benefit analyses to support project justification and strategic decision-making is also a key responsibility.
Ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and environmentally friendly manner is a top priority.
Protecting intellectual property aspects of development is also crucial.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification with relevant experience
* Project Management qualification - a distinct advantage
* Minimum 8+ years post-qualification experience with at least 4 years of this experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry
* Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams from concept through to completion
* Experience with high-speed automation projects is an advantage
