Our team is expanding, as we have just set up a new acoustics division and we're looking for a skilled Cutting Machine Operator to join our acoustic division. This is a role which we envisage will have a lot of opportunity for career progression
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for designing and drawing cut files, and operating our Kongsberg cutting machine to produce precision acoustic products such as wall panels, ceiling rafts and baffles, office and furniture products. This role involves working within a small team of operators with close coordination with sales, procurement, and management, and interpreting design specifications from industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain the Kongsberg cutting machine
* Design and prepare cut files for PET acoustic products
* Collaborate with architects and interior designers to meet project specifications
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth production flow
* Maintain high standards of quality and safety
Ideal Candidate
* Experience operating a Kongsberg cutting machine or similar
* Strong design skills and attention to detail
* Familiarity with PET acoustic material or similar substrate
* Proficiency in CAD
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and design briefs
* Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
* Flexible and willing to work as part of the warehouse team if CNC is quiet - warehouse experience an advantage
