We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing home in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Responsibilities Ensure Care Centre policies and best clinical practices are consistently followed, identifying and addressing areas of concern with the Director of Nursing.
Review residents with pressure sores, falls, or clinical deterioration to ensure appropriate care plans and interventions are implemented.
Troubleshoot ongoing clinical and non-clinical issues, escalating to the Director of Nursing when required.
Conduct and monitor residents' comprehensive assessments and modify care plans as needed.
Supervise medication administration, maintain stock control, liaise with GPs and pharmacies, and review medication audits with the Director of Nursing.
Provide visible leadership to nursing and care teams, conduct performance appraisals, and promote professional, compassionate care.
Identify training needs and deliver in-house training on topics such as infection control, palliative care, and managing challenging behaviour.
Conduct regular audits including medication, hygiene, safety, risk, and documentation, ensuring compliance and sustained improvements.
Act as the main point of contact for residents and families, fostering positive relationships and promptly addressing concerns or complaints.
Assist the Director of Nursing with daily operations, staff rosters, handovers, and health safety compliance, deputising in their absence.
Requirements BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Registered on the NMBI live register.
Previous managerial training or experience is an advantage.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.
