Our Early Years Educator is responsible for providing high-quality early childhood care and education to children.
* They guide, observe, stimulate, and supervise children in a safe and caring environment.
* They work closely with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
* They act as a key worker to specified children if required.
* They prioritize the safety, security, and well-being of all children in their care.
* They assist in planning and implementing an age-appropriate program of activities that enhance the child's natural growth and development.
* They maintain all quality and safety standards in the service.
Care and Well-being:
* They are kind and attentive to children in their care.
* They handle issues arising in relation to the well-being of children.
* They communicate effectively with children at their level.
* They use positive strategies to support children through challenging behavior.
* They conduct planned and unplanned observations using the observation system and materials.
Curriculum/Activities:
* They participate in planning and implementing the set curriculum.
* They support children's emergent interests.
* They introduce children to play equipment based on individual needs.
* They provide opportunities for self-directed play.
Health and Safety:
* They report any safety hazards or risks to management immediately.
* They refrain from engaging in any activity that poses a risk to themselves, other staff members, or children.
* They have a good knowledge of fire and safety procedures within the service.
* They maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
* They participate in cleaning duties as required.
Administration:
* They maintain accurate records and documents in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Records may include child progress, recording observations, accidents records, medicine records, etc.
Team Responsibilities:
* They work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals.
* They respect the rights of children in their care.
* They foster good working relationships within the team.
* They greet parents and children in a friendly, positive, and courteous manner.
* They present a neat and tidy appearance.
Communication:
* They communicate frequently with team members, management, and parents as appropriate.

* They avoid unnecessary social conversations when working and supervising children.
Training and Meetings:
* They undertake first aid training, fire safety, and manual handling as required.
