The Lakeside Manor is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to take full leadership of our kitchen operations — covering our gastropub, café, weddings, banqueting, and events. This is a key leadership role for a chef who thrives in a dynamic, multi-outlet environment and wants the freedom to shape an evolving food offering.
What You'll Do
* Lead a professional, experienced kitchen team across gastropub dining, café service, and event catering
* Oversee food preparation and delivery for weddings, banquets, and corporate/private events
* Create and update seasonal menus with a focus on quality, local ingredients, and guest appeal
* Manage all kitchen operations, including ordering, stock control, HACCP compliance, and service quality
* Maintain high standards of consistency, presentation, and cost control across all outlets
* Work closely with the management and events team to ensure seamless delivery across all services

What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a gastropub, hotel, or high-volume venue
* Confidence in leading teams across both casual and large-scale service styles
* Experience with weddings, banqueting, or large event delivery is essential
* Strong organisational, leadership, and food cost management skills
* Up-to-date knowledge of HACCP, allergens, and food safety best practices
* A genuine passion for quality food and team development
