Purpose of the Role
* The Brand Partner Commercial Planning Manager is responsible for profitably expanding revenue across a portfolio of Brand Partners. Sustainable growth of our Brand Partner revenue is vital for Valeo Foods' future.
* Full P&L ownership and accountability.
* This role primarily involves leading and managing the commercial strategy and planning for Brand Partners across all customers.
* Close collaboration with sales, supply, demand planning, marketing, and commercial finance teams is essential to optimize plans that meet brand needs. Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders is key.
What We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Category Director, the ideal candidate will identify and implement the optimal commercial strategy and plan to foster mutual growth for a portfolio of Brand Partners and Valeo Foods. Effective communication and alignment with the commercial team, customers, and sales are crucial. The role includes full P&L ownership up to gross profit, and developing strong relationships with Brand Partners.
What You Will Do
* Drive sales performance, meet targets, and address risks within the portfolio.
* Maintain full P&L accountability.
* Develop and agree on annual Commercial Plans, identifying growth levers, promotional activities, and trade spend budgets to promote mutual growth.
* Negotiate pricing aligned with margin expectations and strategy.
* Set retail, pricing, and promotional strategies, ensuring compliance and execution.
* Review forecasts, actuals, and budgets regularly.
* Plan, approve, and evaluate trade promotions.
* Collaborate on forecasting with demand planners, supply teams, and Brand Partners to manage stocks and service levels, including aged stock management.
* Build productive relationships with key decision-makers to develop joint growth plans.
What You Will Have
* Minimum 5 years of FMCG experience in sales or marketing.
* Third-level qualification in sales, marketing, or related field.
* Deep knowledge of the Brand Partner environment and Irish grocery sector.
* Strong analytical, financial, and commercial skills.
* Understanding of budgeting and financial planning.
* Ability to interpret and derive insights from various data sources.
* Knowledge of Brand Management, Customer Marketing, Category Management, and Account Management.
* Organized, proactive, and strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead.
* Experience managing processes with attention to detail; experience with Brand Partners is a plus.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
