The Role
This is an opportunity to join a respected and well-established commercial firm in Dublin, taking on an influential position as Number 2 to the Managing Partner. The role offers exceptional access to clients, variety in workload, and genuine responsibility from the outset.
You will work closely with the Managing Partner, stepping into a key client facing and delivery role to support the continued growth of the practice. This is a hands on position suited to a solicitor who enjoys working directly with business clients, managing significant matters, and being a trusted advisor across a broad range of commercial issues.
You will be involved in:
* Advising on a wide range of
commercial contracts
and day-to-day corporate matters
* Working on
M&A transactions
, including acquisitions, disposals, and corporate structuring
* Acting on
commercial banking matters
, lending arrangements, and refinancing
* Managing elements of
commercial litigation
, dispute strategy, and contentious matters where required
* Taking a lead role with clients, handling relationships and delivering high-quality, commercially focused support
* Freeing up the Managing Partner's time by taking ownership of workstreams and managing client instructions independently

The Person
You will be a strong fit if you bring:
* 5+ PQE
in Commercial, Corporate, or a broad-based commercial practice
* Strong experience across one or more of:
commercial contracts, M&A, banking, or commercial litigation
* Confidence working directly with clients and managing relationships
* Strong commercial awareness with an ability to give practical, business-led advice
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
* Ambition, maturity, and the confidence to operate in a senior supporting role to leadership
