OverviewA leading financial services organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its investment operations team. The role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring that investment-related projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements.This role is an 18 month FTC and offers hybrid working in Dublin CityKey Responsibilities Business & Investment Analysis: Drive operational efficiencies by streamlining data integration, improving data quality, and creating insightful dashboards using tools such as Power BI. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with product owners and end users to capture business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements. Documentation & Process Mapping: Produce functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and process maps to guide system enhancements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, testers, infrastructure teams, and other analysts to ensure seamless project delivery. Testing & Quality Assurance: Support system and user acceptance testing, managing defect resolution to uphold delivery quality. System & Data Management: Provide insights into investment processes using financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and SQL-based analysis. Regulatory & Risk Compliance: Ensure processes meet internal policies and regulatory standards. Project Coordination: Manage multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivery timelines.About You 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking or investment operations. 6+ years in financial services, ideally with exposure to front office workflows. Proficient in Bloomberg, Reuters, SQL, Excel, and Power BI. Experience with instrument referential systems and market data feeds (Equities, Bonds, FX rates). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve root cause issues. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels. Track record of working both independently and collaboratively to deliver business solutions. Experience in implementing operational controls, policies, and procedures.
