Job Title: Engine MRO Operations Director
Role Overview:
The position of Engine MRO Operations Director is a crucial role that involves leading the setup, staffing, and operational management of an engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility. This role will oversee the establishment of processes, procedures, and control standards to ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify tooling and equipment requirements for efficient operations, including engine test cells
- Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers and service providers for essential equipment, parts, and services
- Design and implement process flows to achieve industry-leading turnaround times (TAT) and operational excellence
- Develop robust operational procedures and control standards, adhering to aviation regulations and safety standards
- Integrate cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of MRO operations
- Identify and address staffing and training needs, collaborating with internal stakeholders for recruitment and development of skilled workforce
- Oversee facility budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Continuously monitor and report on MRO facility performance, implementing improvements and best practices for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for the MRO facility, aligning with business objectives and growth strategies
- Champion sustainability initiatives within the MRO facility, focusing on reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly practices
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for uninterrupted operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in aircraft/engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul, with specific experience on CFM56 and LEAP engines. Previous experience in setting up and managing an MRO facility is highly desirable.
