To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience with tendering and have obtained, or working towards, MCIPS. Due to location, you will most likely need your own transport.
Requirements:
1. Must have or be studying towards MCIPS Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional qualification.
2. Hold a Degree level qualification or equivalent by experience.
3. High proficiency using Excel, good numerical and analytical skills with ability to assimilate information.
4. Good direct and indirect category management experience.
5. Flexibility in managing a diverse range of spend categories, applying transferable procurement skills and processes in order to address opportunities as well as solve problems.
6. Awareness of contract law and its application.
7. Ability to create and develop business relationships.
8. Competence in negotiating, renewing and structuring supplier contracts and tenders.
9. Project Management and Negotiation training is desirable, as is experience using SAP or similar ERP system.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Category management, delivery of tenders, identification and management of risk.
2. Develop and sustain market understanding, defining procurement strategies for present and future trends.
3. Effective project management, delivering outcomes and feedback.
4. Stakeholder management.
5. Contribute and work towards sustainable procurement and evaluating current suppliers.
6. Foster excellent communication and relationships with internal departments and external partners.
7. Work to best practices and be aware of latest trends.
8. Adhere to all company policies.
