Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network equipment, security policies, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities
* Design, plan, and configure network equipment to meet organizational requirements and industry standards.
* Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, UPS systems, and other hardware.
* Independently design and deploy network setups.
* Package and ship configured equipment to remote sites when required.
* Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages promptly.
* Enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements.
* Perform regular network maintenance, including software updates and patches.
* Implement and optimize network infrastructure to support business needs.
* Maintain and update network documentation, including Visio diagrams and schematic layouts.
* Manage network monitoring tools such as Logic Monitor and Netbox.
* Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
* Prepare reports on network performance, security, and utilization.
* Collaborate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of network products and services.
* Adhere to ITIL best practices for change, incident, capacity, and problem management.
* Follow the change management process meticulously with no gaps.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to FDA, SOX, ISO regulations.
* Coordinate, prepare, and respond to IT audit requests while resolving any audit findings.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
* Applied knowledge of network hardware, protocols, Internet standards, the OSI model, and TCP/IP.
* Experience in Data Center environments, Nexus Switching, and F5 load balancing is desirable.
* Knowledge of cloud networking and SD-WAN deployment is a plus.
* Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage.
* Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance standards.
* Previous experience in a multinational company is beneficial.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
* Cisco CCNA, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications.
* ITIL v3 Foundation or higher qualification.
