Lauda Europe, in partnership with Airline Flight Academy, a state-of-the-art training centre located in Santry, Dublin, is actively seeking qualified
A320 Rated Type Rating Instructors and Examiners
to expand their team.
This is a Dublin-based role.
You will be delivering the highest quality of both classroom and simulator instruction with outstanding remuneration.
The successful candidates will work on a fixed 5 days on and 4 days off roster pattern.
The successful candidates must be highly motivated and dedicated to providing excellent training.
Strong communication skills are essential, and the candidate must have excellent knowledge of CRM, aircraft systems and the importance of SOPs.
Simulator Duties:
Type Rating training
New entry pilot training (OCC & CCQ)
Delivering scheduled ground school training duties
Review and update of training content
Theoretical Training:
Delivering scheduled ground school training duties
Conducting Aircraft Performance Training
Review and update of training content
What we need from you
Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU
Licence Type – Valid EASA Part FCL -
Validity of Medical – Preferably hold a valid EU (Part-MED) issued Class 1 medical certificate
Minimum 3,500 hours total flying time
Minimum of 2,000 hours on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator or military transport
Minimum of 800 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg.
(No PIC hours on Turboprop aircraft shall be considered)
Minimum 500 hours PIC on the A320/ A330 or A340
Applicant must have the A320 / A330 / A340 type rating listed on the EASA licence
Valid EASA SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE cert - please upload it along with your licence
Candidate must have operated as a captain on applicable Airbus type within the 36 months prior to joining a course
English Minimum ICAO Level 6
Previous Instructional/Checking Experience as an SFI/SFE/TRI or TRE will be highly regarded
Excellent interpersonal and instructional skills
Ability to pass an enhanced background check and meet all other regulatory requirements
Assessment and Selection
Should you be shortlisted we will invite you to complete an online assessment as the first step in the process.
This is due to changes in EASA regulations which requires all new pilots to undertake a Work Related Behavioural assessment prior to commencing the training under EASA regulation CAT.GEN.MPA.175.
This is completed in three phases:
Phase 1
– online assessment conducted using our provider AON (fee applies)
Phase 2
– comprehensive psychological assessment, part of the overall Simulator assessment / interview
Phase 3
– interview/task with the Head of Training for candidates successful in previous phases
During
Phase 1
, Captains are required to complete a total of
1 online task
.
Only candidates who successfully complete and meet the minimum standards during Phase 1 will be progressed to Phase 2 which includes the Simulator Assessment.
