Our client is a highly regarded construction organisation operating in a number of locations.
They have an established legal team and are now keen to hire an additional Legal Counsel to the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute legal counsel with min. 3 – 7 years pqe.
Our client is open to any of the following profiles:
1. Lawyers with a mix of non-contentious and contentious construction law experience
2. Lawyers with purely non-contentious construction law experience
3. Corporate/Commercial Lawyers seeking an exciting pivot into the construction and infrastructure sector
Essential Requirements:
* Excellent academic record.
* Time spent in a highly regarded law firm OR recent in-house experience within a construction business.
* Highly commercial mindset with the ability to advise effectively on complex commercial issues.
Key responsibilities:
* Advising on contract strategy and the negotiation/drafting of core construction and infrastructure agreements (including main contracts, security documents, and warranties).
* Ensuring all contract terms adhere to the internal risk management policy.
* Providing support on claims management and dispute resolution (Conciliation, Adjudication, Arbitration, or Litigation) as required.
* Offering general legal counsel on diverse business matters, including Employment, GDPR, Compliance, and Regulatory affairs.
