Your Impact
We’re looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will:
Test Acre Access Control, Video and Intruder product releases (PC software, firmware, hardware, and documentation) against defined test plans.
Build and maintain test environments to support product testing across our portfolio.
Drive product quality by identifying, documenting, and verifying issues and supporting resolution.
What You’ll Do
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
Set up and wire test systems, hardware, and firmware environments.
Test products to statutory and regulatory standards.
Generate test reports and log issues.
Verify and troubleshoot customer-reported problems (including occasional site visits).
Collaborate with design engineers and test leaders to define test criteria.
Work within a cross-functional Agile team.
Implement automated testing where possible.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Degree-level qualification in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Strong practical knowledge of electronics, PC software, and networking.
Experience in an R&D test environment.
Industry background in Security and Access Control.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in testing complex products.
Knowledge of R&D test methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with Agile principles and practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience working with different cultures.
Competence in IT infrastructure and networking.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Clear documentation and technical investigation skills.
