The Supply Chain Co-Ordinator will report directly to the Operations Manager and join an expanding and motivated team.
The Supply Chain Co-Ordinator will play a central role in the operations department and will also interact with other departments in the company, including Planning, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Administration, IT, and Quality Control.
Main Duties
Sales order inputting onto internal software systems daily (majority of orders received via EDI).
Ensuring all order information is accurate and correctly processed.
Reviewing, confirming, and inputting all customer orders serviced from third-party logistics locations.
Co-ordinating collection times for both domestic and export loads.
Load optimisation to deliver optimum unit cost of distribution for the business.
Managing stock movements in third-party locations across Ireland and Great Britain.
Liaising with customer distribution centres across Ireland and Great Britain.
Day-to-day management of haulage and distribution partners.
Completing Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) for customers and third-party logistics locations.
Arranging daily product intake times with raw material suppliers across multiple sites.
Managing returnable packaging stock and movements with Irish and European supplier bases.
Managing daily stock movements between sites and third-party stock locations to ensure optimum distribution costs.
Completing customs declarations, Traces Export Health Certificates, and IPAFFS declarations for each load going to Great Britain.
Liaising with the Department of Agriculture to ensure Export Health Certificates are correct and signed off in a timely manner.
Attending and presenting at daily internal planning and logistics meetings.
Co-ordinating inbound and outbound logistics, working closely with the dispatch team to ensure shipping is completed in a timely and efficient manner, including movement of trucks between sites.
Answering customer queries and following up to ensure matters are resolved efficiently.
Running daily reports, reconciling, summarising, and sharing with relevant departments.
Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
Requirements
Previous industry experience with strong analytical ability would be advantageous.
Strong IT proficiency, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external partners.
Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.
Third-level qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar supply chain, logistics, or operations support role.
