We are now seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic to join our growing team, offering excellent long-term career progression and manufacturer-backed training opportunities.Job PurposeThe HGV Mechanic will provide high-quality maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of PSV and HGV vehicles, while delivering a professional and efficient customer experience in line with Harris Group and manufacturer standards.Hours of Work38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday08:15 – 16:45 (Monday to Thursday)08:15 – 15:30 (Friday)A 24-hour callout may be required on a rotational basis.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesThis role is expected to grow and evolve over time. While the key responsibilities outlined below are central to the position, they are not limited to the following:Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and PSVsComplete road testing and quality control inspections as requiredEnsure all job-related paperwork is completed accurately and in line with Harris Group and manufacturer standardsWork within guideline standard times across all brandsDeliver professional, efficient, and customer-focused service at all timesWork collaboratively as part of the Service team, maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and customersLiaise with the Parts Department regarding the supply of required componentsAdhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures, promptly reporting any issues to managementMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentReport faulty equipment without delayParticipate in company training and development programmesUndertake any additional duties as required by the businessPerson SpecificationThe ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong, stable, and productive career within the automotive industry, with a clear desire to achieve excellence and be the best in their field.
