An established and rapidly growing technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery and integration of enterprise networking and security projects.
You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing all technical and operational aspects of complex projects — from planning and procurement through to implementation, integration, risk management, and customer acceptance.
Working closely with teams of Network and Security Architects, Engineers and third‑party vendors, you will ensure that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
This position also plays a key role in improving internal project management processes and contributing to business growth through strong customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead projects through all phases — planning, design, deployment, and integration — ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal capabilities.
* Develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with technical architects, customers, and internal stakeholders.
* Manage and mitigate project risks, resources, budgets, schedules, and changes to scope.
* Coordinate with vendors, management, and customer teams to secure the necessary equipment, resources, and maintenance windows.
* Motivate, guide, and manage project teams to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
* Act as the main customer interface, providing updates, reports, and proactive issue management.
* Participate in early‑stage deployment and integration activities.
* Identify and support new business opportunities arising during project engagements.
* 8+ years’ experience managing IT or telecommunications projects of significant technical complexity.
* Strong understanding of IP infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls) and networking technologies (IP, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, VPN, cloud networking, security, and data centre environments).
* Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑phase projects under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
* Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
* Willingness to travel and work across multiple sites as required (primarily within the Dublin area).
Desirable Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
* Experience with data centre installations, enterprise‑grade hardware, and creating or interpreting Low‑Level Design (LLD) documentation.
* Background in managing third‑party vendors and coordinating with Tier 1 telecom or network service providers.
* Familiarity with deployment and early integration of networking and security solutions.
