Job Title: Loading Bay Operative
Department: Loading Bay
Reports to: Loading Bay Supervisor
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the efficient, safe, and hygienic loading and unloading of vehicles within the food processing site, maintaining product quality, and compliance with food safety standards.
Start hours between the hours of 7am – 9am, finish hours between the hours if 4pm – 6pm. Saturday working required on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
· Loading and unloading of lorries
· Selecting and dispatching sales orders
· Loading and unloading of blast freezer
· Daily checks
Key Skills & Competencies
* Forklift experience desirable
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively under pressure
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a loading bay, warehouse, or dispatch role (preferably in food manufacturing)
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills, good level of English for record-keeping
